Few words: There are thousands of ways to read or write on the Internet. Goodreads is the world's largest site for readers and book recommendations that still sets out to deliver on the Internet's original promise: to help people find and share books they love.
The redesign starts from Goodreads core story that Goodreads is a place where you can see what your friends are reading and vice versa. You can create "bookshelves" to organise what you've read (or want to read). You can comment on each other's reviews. You can find your next favorite book. And on this journey with your friends, you can explore new territory, gather information, and expand your mind.
First-hand accounts from customers described how they struggled to navigate within the app and site and struggled to differentiate Goodreads from competitors.
Based on our learnings and findings, this redesign project focus on building a flexible yet coherent and personalised system that would help Goodreads create more accessible content and meaningful experiences for its audience.
